Alyssa Montgomery

Alyssa is a dressage rider who lives in Guelph, Ontario. Alyssa has been a happy boarder at Fox Hollow since September 2016. She is the proud owner of Zazou MC, a KWPN broodmare, as well as Lazoulite, (Yoshi) an exciting young prospect.

I am so pleased knowing my horses live at Fox Hollow under the care of Sally and Garry Moore. Nothing goes unnoticed and communication is excellent. As a long-distance boarder, this helps me sleep at night. My horses are always in perfect condition and given lots of love and attention. Sally and Garry treat each horse like their own; my horses adore them! One of the best parts of my day is when I receive one of their frequent pics/videos and updates. Sally’s training produces cooperative, curious and well-handled horses. I can’t think of a better barn for a young horse to grow up and get a great education.

The program developed at Fox Hollow is a fantastic, vertically integrated, young horse program.   It introduces a professional, well-developed system, which our team has found to give our young foals a solid foundation as they begin their development.  Under the guidance of Fox Hollow owners, Sally and Garry, the programs they have implemented are “hands on” and mirror our internal programs at Butternut Ridge.

Stasha Conolly

Dylan is a very happy twenty-year-old Welsh Cob who has lived at Fox Hollow for over six years. He had his misgivings but they did not last long. Thanks to consistent care and specific consideration of his needs at Fox Hollow he is able to relax and fully enjoy his life. His perfect situation is my perfect situation and as a result a very strong bond has developed between us. Fox Hollow will be his last home with or without me.

I value the importance of attention to detail, timeliness and dedication to the pursuit of excellence and appreciate that these attributes, among others, are employed at Fox Hollow Stable at all times. Without fail, Sally and Garry put the well-being of their equine charges first – always. Dylan came to me as an 8 year with some baggage and trauma in his personal history, requiring an empathetic yet firm caregiver. I am grateful that he found his way to me and that finally he arrived at Fox Hollow. He enjoys his current status as grand-uncle to the (maybe) million dollar babies and I could not be happier.

I am grateful to Sally and Garry – exemplary human beings that I am privileged to know.

Kerry Langdon

Kerry Langdon Purchased her Hanoverian Mare Dornenprinzessin in Germany and has schooled her to Third Level. Dornenprinzessin has had two beautiful foals that are currently in the young horse development program at Fox Hollow.

Sally and Garry have provided professional, top flight care to my warmblood yearling Houghton (Harvard x Dornenkoening) for the past two years. In addition to providing a quality feed and turnout program Sally excels in young horse handling. Her firm yet kind approach to teaching young horses how to stand in cross-ties for the farrier and vet, to load on and off of trailers and to be safely handled has given Houghton the best possible start in life and has ensured she is a lovely horse to handle.

Sally goes above and beyond recreating situations commonly encountered at horse shows – opening umbrellas, children in strollers and loud noises to ensure Houghton is well equipped for a future competitive career. Sally sends weekly videos of Houghton’s progress and proactively brings to my attention any potential impediments to Houghton’s progress.

I would not hesitate in recommending Fox Hollow Stables for anyone requiring superior young horse care and handling. Sally and Garry abound with common sense, love and good humour and are a pleasure to work with. I feel privileged that they are an integral part of Houghton’s team.

I could not be happier with my decision to move my young horse into the Young Sport-horse Development program at Fox Hollow Stable.

Sally and Garry Moore provide all horses with top quality care, in an environment that is structured, calm and ultimately ensuring well-adjusted sport horses down the road.  Their young horses program is nothing short of remarkable!

On a recent trip to Germany to participate in a Hanoverian Breeding program with participants from other parts of the world, I shared videos and photos of my young mare walking through pools of water, over tarps, being lead with the person carrying an umbrella, the list goes on and on.  Everyone was incredibly impressed by this program and all wished they had something similar in their countries.

I would not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone wanting their future equine partner to be raised and developed in an environment where you will know their physical and mental development is such that it gives them the best chance for success in the show-ring down the road. Sally and Garry keep up the excellent work!
